Regulating Internet Cafes Near Schools

From my perspective, Students should not be allowed to use the internet café during school hours for the reason that it might tempt and distract students to go inside and play computer games. They would not be able to focus on their studies. Internet Cafes near the school might cause students to cut their classes. Some students became addict to computers in a way that they are willing to sacrifice their studies for the sake of computer games. Plus, it is not good for their health due to the fact that they skip their meals on time.

In addition, students should not be allowed to play computer games in internet cafes near the school because it will affect their academic performance. Playing computer games will consume their time and a waste of money for them and their parents. It can also affect their behavior, and there is a possibility that they can adapt to the environment inside the internet café. They tend to use bad words to express their emotions. Instead of going to school, students chose to play inside the internet café because they feel free. The reason for the students getting home late is the group project in schools, but the truth is they played computer games and they have forgotten the time. And because of that, Parents will blame the school. Moreover, The Government is responsible for implementing policies concerning internet cafes. To solve this issues, the Owner of the Internet Cafe should cooperate with the Government. The House Bill 4740 or Senate Bill 908, also known as the Internet Café Regulation Act was enacted on July 15, 2015, by the Congress of the Philippines.

 The punishment for the Internet Cafes that will disobey and violate the policies. For the First offense, the owner who will be caught and let the students enter inside the internet café will pay 1,500 pesos. On the Second offense, the owner of the Internet Café who still violating the policies will pay 3,000 pesos. Third offense, The Internet Café will be forced to close their business, plus they will be in jail for 1-3 years.  But for the Internet Cafes that will implement the policies will be given a printer, ink, and a couple of bond papers. We should always submit ourselves to the Authority. It’s for our safety.
